We’ve all been there. We watch a promo or a snippet on our cell phones, trying to hide it from prying eyes. Maybe we schedule things around when it airs so no one would witness us taking pleasure in it. No? Just me?
Okay, fine. Truth be told, I’m sure we all have some kind of guilty pleasure we enjoy when no one is paying attention. Mine is simple... I love musicals. I love Hamilton, Pretty Woman, Frozen (Broadway & both films) and recently I can be heard poorly belting out Moulin Rouge. My dog dislikes my singing and my wife will always sing along with me if she’s around. Although, I admit she does cringe when I am horribly off key, but she loves them as much as I do.
So, there you have one of my guilty pleasures… **cough, cough** true crime shows... I posed the same question to our staff and our Twitter family as well. Here’s what everyone had to say:
Gloria: “I’ve been binging Terrace House on Netflix. It’s like The Real World, but Japanese and way less messy. They’re so polite, the other night two girls got into a civil argument and the hosts were like “WOW THAT WAS THE MOST INTENSE FIGHT WE’VE EVER SEEN ON THIS SHOW!” I’m obsessed.”
Mel: “70’s and 80’s game shows, and a good amount of TLC shows.”
Holly: “Air Crash Investigation.”
Thank you for the great responses. Some of these were not on my radar, and I have added several to my backlog to watch. I admit that I do watch Air Crash Investigation a lot as well… usually right before I have to travel by plane. I have no idea why. If you didn’t get a chance to answer, post in the comments below.
