What is QFX Events?
QFX Events is an LGBTQ event production company that will create diverse, inclusive and accessible events that showcase creators, guests and fans from all platforms of queer media. QFX East will be our first event, but will be organizing many different types of shows for the community, so stay tuned!
Can anyone attend your events?
Our events are for everyone regardless of race, age, sex, gender, gender identity and expression, sexual orientation or any other marginalized identity. Unless you’re a jerk, then you are not welcome. Our code of conduct can be found here.

Who is behind QFX?
QFX is curated and run by volunteers who have experience in event planning, A/V production and hospitality services. You can find out more about us on our team page.

If you are interested in lending a hand as a year-round volunteer, we might have a place for you on our team! Please email us at email@example.com. Applications for onsite volunteers at the convention will open on October 1, 2019.
When and where is QFX East?
QFX East will take place May 29-31, 2020 at the Hilton Downtown Tampa in Tampa, FL.
Is there a room block?
Yes! Our room block will open on August 9, 2019. A link with additional information will be posted on our website at that time.
Will there be transportation from the airport to the venue?
The most affordable transportation option to and from Tampa International Airport (TPA) and Hilton Downtown Tampa is the bus on Line 30. The cost is $2.00 and requires 750 feet of walking. An alternate option is the Blue One airport shuttle, which offers one-way transport to and from our venue for $13.00.
Will there be gender-neutral bathrooms?
All of the bathrooms in our event space will be gender-neutral. Anyone, regardless of gender identity, can use any bathroom.
Will there be any options for food such as anything vegetarian/vegan, kosher, halal, etc?
Can we bring snacks or a water bottle into the convention space?
Who needs a badge?
All attendees 12 years of age and above need a badge for QFX East. Kids below the age of 12 do NOT need a badge to attend. Please note that all attendees under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent and/or guardian.
What is your refund policy?
All badges to QFX East are non-refundable and cannot be upgraded; however, they can be transferred to a third party through our ticketing app. More details regarding this will be announced at a later date.
How do I get an ADA wristband?
QFX Events will provide ADA wristbands to any individual with visible or invisible disabilities. An ADA wristband will identify to staff, volunteers and security that you may need additional assistance. To obtain an ADA wristband, please fill out the accessibility form that is located on our Accessibility page. Please note that requests must be submitted to QFX by April 28th, 2020.
Will you be capping attendance?
As a first year event, our goal is to produce an experience of high quality for our attendees. Therefore, we will be limiting badges to a quantity of 2,000 in order to dedicate the utmost attention to details, without spreading our team too thin or compromising the accessibility that we want to provide.
When do badges for QFX East go on sale?
Badges will go on sale Sunday, September 15, 2019! Please visit our Badges page for information on pricing and quantities.
Are badges transferrable?
You may transfer your badge to another individual. Please note that buying and selling outside of our ticketing platform is done at your own risk and QFX Events is not responsible if you purchase a counterfeit badge or one that has already been scanned. The safest option is to transfer badges through our official ticketing service.
How many of each type of badge are you releasing?
We will be limiting VIP badges to 150 and VIP Ultra to 50.

Will you be announcing guests before badges go on sale?

Do 'VIP Ultra' badges include guaranteed front row panel seating?
To ensure our event remains as accessible as possible, we will NOT be sectioning off front-row seating for people with VIP Ultra badges. Instead, all VIP badge holders will share VIP seating in our main panel room on a first-come, first-served basis. All VIP seating will be in the first two rows in the main panel room and VIP seats will NOT run out.
What is included with the 'Lurker' badge?

Is there a limit to number of badges I can purchase?
There will be a two-badge maximum purchase limit for VIP and VIP Ultra badges per transaction. Lurker and Shipper badges will have no maximum limit.
Can I use my chosen name when registering my badge even if I don’t have an ID with that name on it?
What can I expect at QFX East?
QFX East will be a multi-fandom convention that will span across multiple forms of media including film, television, comics and more! There will be autograph signings, photo-ops and panels with some of your favorite guests. We will also offer workshops, round tables and other community-driven events as a part of our programming. Additional details will be announced throughout the year.
What are the hours of the convention?

What is your anti-harrassment policy?
Yes. QFX Events is dedicated to providing safe and harassment-free environments for all persons in attendance at any of our events. We have a zero-tolerance policy regarding harassment, intimidation and discrimination. Our full anti-harrassment policy can be found on our Code of Conduct page.
What are the safety and security expectations at QFX East?

What do I do if I find or lose something?
Will you have a coat/bag check?
Unfortunately, we will not have coat or bag check services available at QFX East.
Will I be on camera?
QFX East may attract local and national press. In purchasing a ticket to our events and in consideration for being admitted to the event, the ticket holder consents to being recorded (by audio, visual and/or other means) for exhibition by responsible means in all media.
I am interested in being a vendor. Where do I sign up?
Vendor and exhibitor applications will open on September 1, 2019. Please check back for more information at that time.
